Greg, I looked through the pics...I take it you weren't on the Monster?! And was that a young man or a very little grown man on that small bike?
Re: Harris Hill March 17th Pictures
Chris, that was actually a young girl riding the blue bike with the #11 on it, she is being shadowed by Megan her sister on the white bike with the #708 plate. Megan rides in CMRA and is pretty good, when she is at Hr2 I like to follow her around as I can just keep up with her and she teaches me better lines and I ride a lot smoother.
I bought a 2005 Kawasaki ZX6R to replace the 2006 Monster as my track bike. The Monster was fun to ride on the track but the handling sucked and I didn't want to drop $2,500 into suspension upgrades and then spend more on brakes, rear sets, clip-ons etc. It was just better to bite the bullet and buy something already set up for the track. The ZX6R is an ex-CMRA bike with Penske shock and AK-20 forks, Galfer rotors, stainless brake lines, steering damper etc. It handles like a dream and I can ride 170 miles on it without getting too tired, where as on the Monster I was whipped after 120 miles.
Plenty of track days coming up, first being May 19, then May 27th (Memorial Day) and then June 1st.
Lot's of fun and you'll see all sorts of different people riding all kinds of bikes. Ya'll need to come join in the fun sometime.
PS: In the pictures above I am in the red and black leathers riding the dark grey bike with the #170 on the tail.
